Rob Hemmings BSc (Hons), MSc.
Rob gained an MSc in Computer Graphics from Teesside University in 1992. Since then he worked his way up from Runner to Generalist Animator working at a number of leading London 3D studios producing TV commercials and pop promos. In 1999 Rob switched from commercials and began a specialist career in film creature animation.
Having supervised the creature animation on a number of large film projects (including most recently Pixar’s ‘ John Carter of Mars) it became clear that there is an ongoing problem sourcing animators with highend creature animation skills at the time of need.
animationAteam.com is dedicated to teaching animators the necessary techniques and skills that will help improve their employment prospects and to supply the 3D industry with this niche and essential skill set. To this end the Online 3D Creature Animation School was created. It is aimed at graduates and experienced animators who are looking to hone their craft. We also run a 5 Day Short Course that teaches all the important techniques taught during the online course but in a much quicker and intense way. The classes are very small so that the student can receive individual attention from the tutor. The student will learn some great techniques that improve workflow and consequently help speed up the production of their work on future projects. I have extensive contacts in the industry so will always be on the look out for suitable job opportunities for my students.
With many years of experience in the 3D industry, I am also able to offer a recruitment service.
